What Sets Us Apart
The Difference That Shows in the Work
Thorough documentation, calibre-specific lubrication and pressure testing are standard practice here — not add-ons that raise the price.

Six Reasons Clients Return
Assessment Before Any Work
Every piece is inspected and a written condition report is produced before a single component is touched. You decide whether to proceed.
Manufacturer Reference Data
Lubrication charts, service bulletins and torque specifications guide each overhaul. This data determines which oil goes where — not assumption.
Pressure Testing After Gasket Work
Cases receiving new gaskets are tested on a calibrated pressure machine. The result is documented as a number, not described as a claim.
Six-Position Timing Record
Rate is measured in six positions after each overhaul. The timing trace is included in the service document you take home with the watch.
Prices Stated Before Work
Service prices are quoted from the condition report, not applied after the fact. Parts are listed separately and require your approval before fitting.
Walk-In Welcome
Bracelet sizing and strap fitting are completed the same day for walk-in clients. No appointment required for these services.
In Depth
Each Benefit Explained
Formal Watchmaking Training
The workshop is led by a watchmaker trained in Switzerland, where the curriculum covers movement theory, tool usage, timing regulation and quality control to a structured syllabus. This differs from experience accumulated through practice alone — the foundational theory underpins decisions that cannot be made confidently otherwise.
- Swiss watchmaking programme completed
- Over fourteen years in independent practice
- Calibre reference library maintained and updated
Why This Matters
A movement assembled without reference to its specified lubrication viscosities will initially run correctly. Within twelve to eighteen months, wear accelerates as the wrong oil migrates or breaks down ahead of schedule. The error is invisible at completion and costly by the time it presents as a symptom.
Equipment Used in Practice
The workshop uses an ultrasonic cleaning machine for movement components, a timing machine for multi-position rate measurement, and a dry pressure tester for water resistance verification. These are working tools that produce measurable, recordable results — not display equipment.
- Ultrasonic cleaning of all movement parts
- Timing machine: six positions measured and recorded
- Pressure tester calibrated to manufacturer ratings
What the Records Show
Each service produces documentation you take away: a condition report listing what was found, a service record of what was done, and where applicable, the timing result and pressure test figure. If you need this information later — for insurance, resale or a future service — it is there in plain language.
Communication at Each Stage
You are contacted before the timeline changes, before additional parts are fitted and before the total cost increases beyond the original quote. If a part needs to be sourced and it will take longer than expected, that information reaches you before the delay becomes a surprise.
- Condition report delivered before work begins
- Parts approval required before fitting
- Timeline change communicated before it occurs
No Obligation at Any Stage
A client who brings in a watch for inspection and then decides the cost is not appropriate at this time is free to take the piece back. There is no charge for the inspection. The condition report is theirs to keep regardless.
Pricing Structured Around the Work
The price for a full movement overhaul begins at RM 620 and includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, timing and a fresh gasket set. Crystal and gasket work begins at RM 340. Bracelet fitting begins at RM 120. These are starting figures; the condition report will confirm the total before anything is approved.
- No additional fees added without approval
- Inspection carried out at no charge
- Inclusive pricing: gasket set, cleaning and timing included
Inclusive vs. Itemised
Some workshops present a low entry price and then add individual line items for cleaning, timing and gasket replacement. The Detik Warisan overhaul price includes these as standard. What you are quoted is what you pay unless additional parts are found to be necessary — and those are always approved separately.
